Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Risk Controller to take on the responsibility of assessing risk and maintaining acceptable business processes within TFG@home Trading Division. The business is in need of an analytical thinker who pays special attention to detail, who enjoys training, investigating and solving problems with excellent planning, organising and customer service skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate opportunities to improve efficiencies and productivity
- Monitoring and enforcing store security procedures
- Adhering to Company policies and procedures
- Identifying and analysing trends affecting profitability
- Provide guidelines and input to external providers (eg. suppliers)
- Assess that stores are maintaining acceptable admin standards
- Identifying and analysing trends affecting risk
- Ensure that stores consistently adhere to legislative requirements and in-house polices across the business by doing random and selective compliance checks.
- Investigate any financial loss eg. fraud, high stock losses, stock discrepancies, etc and report on findings, impact to the business and recommend business processes to mitigate further risk
- Assess new store and field managers, admin managers/controllers to identify training gaps and schedule the relevant training session/s
- Review existing policies and provide recommendations for enhancement
- Assist with risk, admin and stockloss workshops in field managers area of responsibility
- Assess the knowledge of store management/staff and field managers on admin standards, compliance, stocktake procedures, stock management, etc and provide feedback
Job Requirements:
- Have a high level of numeracy and accuracy
- A task driven and accurate approach to work
- Exceptional organisational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ablility to work independently
- Good written skills
- Good interpersonal skills and service orientation
- Be computer literate on MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and email
- Valid Driver’s license required
- Good problem solving and decision making skills
- Profit driven and an effective cost containment catalyst
- A good team affiliation
- Be self-motivated, able to display initiative and take responsibility
- Minimum of 5 years Retail Administration experience
